St. Luke Catholic School offers a vibrant student experience to extend learning beyond the classroom. Students participate in and build community in valued and formative ways.
Each day begins with Morning Prayer, during which the entire school gathers to devote the day to God, celebrate each other’s success, and hear important announcements about student life.
2nd grade students prepare for and receive the Sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion.
Middle school students participate in annual retreats, often led by Catholic high school students.
Whole-school experiences of Blessing of the Animals, rosaries, and Stations of the Cross take place each year.
Opportunities for spiritual growth, including guest speakers and faith-based field trips, such as visits to Mt. Angel Abbey or The Grotto, extend student encounters with faith.
Schoolwide projects addressing local as well as international needs are designed each year to honor the liturgical seasons of Advent and Lent.
Grades K-5 adopt classroom service projects, such as cleaning the church, to introduce students to a variety of service.
Middle school students complete 10-hours of service, as well as a service reflection, each trimester.
Middle school students serve on the Student Leadership Team planning spirit and service activities for the school.
House Groups place students into one of four Houses, each named after a saint. These K-8 groups meet once a month for activities and community-building across the school.
House Feast Days celebrate the patron saint of each House and include Mass, service, and activities together.
4th and 5th grade students serve as buddies to Preschool students, assisting with art projects, field trips, and Mass.
Parent-and-teacher-led community events, such as a Fall Harvest Festival, Christmas program, annual academic spotlight event, and annual auction bring St. Luke families together.
St. Luke hosts co-ed soccer and girls’ volleyball in the fall, and boys’ and girls’ basketball in the winter.
Students from St. Luke have joined the local public school for opportunities in football and track.
Home games are hosted in the St. Luke gym and often include sightings of our mascot, Pride the Panther!
Away games find our student athletes representing us well at surrounding schools, including Colton and Salem-based programs.
